G.T. Marketing (Clacton) Limited was established in 1986 to provide a small account base with (at that time) just one product range; Brass Compression Fittings.
Operating from a very small unit in Clacton on Sea in Essex (YES, the sun DOES always shine in Clacton, and NO we don’t spend our lunch hours paddling in the sea) the company quickly realised that by utilising national carriers, we could deliver anywhere in the UK, next day.
The company moved premises a number of times, always assuming that the current move would give us enough capacity. The phrase “we’ll never fill this one up” has been said a number of times over the years but we are currently occupying a bespoke unit, built to our own specifications on the same industrial estate as the company started, many years ago. The move has resulted in a quicker turnaround for orders, enabling us also to provide a next day service with cut off times of around 4pm. As stated above, “we’ll never fill this one up”.
As well as having room for our increased levels of stock, we also needed room for our increased staffing levels. As much as we have grown, we still believe that personal service is what makes us stand apart. Many of our staff have been with us for a number of years and have come to know what our customers want and expect from a supplier. Our team work very hard to ensure that anything that need to be done, gets done; as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If you have any current requirements our sales team are able to give you current stock levels and quotations on products IMMEDIATELY. We do not believe in making our customers wait for a week to have their quotations returned, fully priced, indicating relevant stock level information.
